Building the Clean Energy Future - Framing the Value Proposition for New Clean Energy Infrastructure in MA
Building the clean energy future depends on our ability to site, permit, and lock in contracts for major infrastructure like storage facilities, solar farms, substations, and transmission lines quickly and fairly. Moderated by Jon Chesto, this fireside chat will discuss the policy and regulatory framework that is driving Massachusetts’ next wave of clean energy infrastructure. Panelists will explore how private developers, state and local government, and communities can collaborate to balance speed, transparency, and environmental stewardship while meeting the state’s clean energy and equity goals.
The state's policy and regulatory framework for clean energy is always in flux, but was recently reformed by the Healey-Driscoll Administration to attract new clean energy infrastructure investment, strengthen community engagement, and ensure equitable energy development across the Commonwealth.
