These four startups—working on novel electrolytes, new battery design, battery-quality monitoring, and deeply technical R&D—have experienced the power of collaboration through their work together. With one company’s electrolyte assembled into pouches thanks to another’s manufacturing expertise, then tested in yet another’s quality-monitoring system, all with an ethos of shared experimentation, these four startups are a stellar case study in how breakthroughs can move faster from prototype to deployment when ecosystems move together. This conversation will explore what it takes for an innovation ecosystem to catalyze step-change progress, as told by startup perspectives from across the energy storage value chain.
